Generate API Key

Step 1: Login or Signup to OpenAI Account using the below URL.

• The extension does not include OpenAI API pricing. That you need to pay separately based on your usage. You can visit below link to check OpenAI API pricing.

• For the extension to function seamlessly with ChatGPT, you need to include your credit card information in the billing details of your OpenAI account. Keep in mind that trial accounts are equipped with $5 in API funds, subject to a request limit that may result in errors during multiple requests. You will need to pre-purchase credits in your wallet to use the API. Any API usage you incur will first be deducted from the prepaid wallet If your usage exceeds the credits you’ve purchased, you’ll then be billed for the additional amount.

• To leverage the ChatGPT 4 model, it is imperative to upgrade your OpenAI account to the Pro plan based on the current circumstances.

Step 2: Click on your profile logo from the upper-right corner and select View API keys.

Step 3: Now click on Create new secret key button.

Step 4: The API secret key is generated successfully. You can copy and add to the extension configuration.
