Once you have successfully installed the extension, go to Stores -> Configuration -> MageComp -> Blog to configure the extension for use.
From this tab, you can enable or disable the extension.
Enable Extension - Enable/disable the blog extension from here.
From this tab, you can apply various settings for the main page of blog for your Magento 2 store.
Title - Set the title for the blog index page.
Description - Add the description for the blog index page.
Display Mode - Select display mode for the blog index page - Recent Blog Posts, Featured Blog Posts, or Blank.
Posts Sort By - Set the order of posts depending on publish date, position, or title.
Posts Per Page - Set the number of posts to be displayed per page.
Meta Title - Enter the meta title for the blog index page.
Meta Keywords - Enter the meta keywords for the blog index page.
Meta Description - Enter the meta description for the blog index page.
From this tab, you can apply various settings for the blog post page or determine which section will be displayed on the blog page.
Template - Set the template of the blog post page - System Settings or Modern.
Display Related Posts - Select Yes to show the related posts section on the blog post page.
Number of Posts - Set the number of related posts to be displayed in the blog post page.
Display Related Products - Select Yes to show the related products section on the blog post page.
Number of Products - Set the number of related products to be displayed in the blog post page.
Comments - Enable Magecomp Blog Comments or Facebook Comments. You can even disable comments from this option.
Number of Comments - Set the number of comments to be displayed in the blog post page.
Number of Replies - Set the number of replies to be displayed in the blog post page if you are using Magecomp Blog Comments.
Allow Guest Comments - Allow guests to comment on the blog posts if you are using Magecomp Blog Comments.
Display Prev. & Next Post Links - Select Yes to show previous and next post links on the current blog post page.
Template - Select whether you want to display titles of the previous and next posts with respective links or just Previous and Next labels with respective links.
Calculate & Display Views Counts - Select Yes to show post view count on the blog post page.
From this tab, you can apply settings for how the posts will be displayed on the blog index page.
Template - Select the template for posts - System Settings or Modern (List).
Posts Per Page - Set the number of posts per page.
Default Short Content Length - Set the short content length limit for the blog post.
From this tab, you can apply settings for various sidebar widgets and other sections.
Enabled - Enable the search form widget from here.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the search form widget.
Enabled - Enable the category widget from here.
Display Number Of Posts - Select Yes to show the number of posts a category holds.
Maximal Depth - Set the number of subcategories to be shown for each parent category in the category widget.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the category widget.
Enabled - Enable the recent posts widget from here.
Display Post Image - Select Yes to show the post image in the recent posts widget.
Posts Number - Set the number of posts to be displayed in the recent posts widget.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the recent posts widget.
Enabled - Enable the featured post widget from here.
Display Post Image - Select Yes to show the post image in the featured post widget.
Post IDs - Enter post IDs separated by a comma to display in the featured post widget.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the featured post widget.
Enabled - Enable the popular posts widget from here.
Display Post Image - Select Yes to show the post image in the popular posts widget.
Posts Number - Set the number of posts to be displayed in the popular posts widget.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the popular posts widget.
Enabled - Enable the archive widget from here.
Archive Group By - Select Month and Year, or only Year for the archive widget. Clicking on it will show the posts for the respective month or year.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the archive widget.
Enabled - Enable the tag cloud widget from here.
Enable 3D Animation - Select Yes to enable 3D animation for tags.
Color - Set the color of tags.
Cloud Height - Set the height of the tag cloud widget.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the tag cloud widget.
Number of Tags - Set the number of tags to be displayed in the tag cloud widget.
Enabled - Enable the related products section for the blog sidebar from here.
Number of Products - Set the number of products to be displayed in the related products section for the blog sidebar.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the related products section for the blog sidebar.
Enabled - Enable the custom HTML section for the blog sidebar from here.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the custom HTML section for the blog sidebar.
HTML - Add your custom HTML code here.
Enabled - Enable the RSS Feed section for the blog sidebar from here.
Sort Order - Set the sort order of the RSS Feed section for the blog sidebar.
Feed Title - Set the RSS Feed title.
Feed Description - Add the RSS Feed description.
From this tab, you can apply settings for displaying related posts to product pages.
Display Related Posts - Select Yes to display the related posts section on product pages.
Number of Posts - Set the number of posts to be displayed in the related posts section on product pages.
From this tab, you can apply settings for the blog author.
Display Author Information - Select Yes to show author's name for blog posts.
From this tab, you can apply settings for the search form template.
Template - Select the template for the search form within the blog page.
From this tab, you can apply settings for the URL of various sections of the blog.
Blog Route - Set the blog route.
Auto-redirect to No-Slash URL - Select Yes for auto-redirection to no-slash URL.
Permalink Type - Select the permalink type.
Post Route - Set the post route.
Post URL Suffix - Set the post URL suffix.
Use Categories Path for Post URLs - Set whether you want ot use categories path for post URLs.
Category Route - Set the category route.
Category URL Suffix - Set the category URL suffix.
Use Parent Category Path for Category URLs - Set whether you want ot use parent category path for category URLs.
Archive Route - Set the archive route.
Tag Route - Set the tag route.
Tag URL Suffix - Set the tag URL suffix.
Author Route - Set the author route.
Author URL Suffix - Set the author URL suffix.
Search Route - Set the search route.
From this tab, you can set canonical meta tags for various blog pages.
Use Canonical Link Meta Tag For - Select pages for which you want to set canonical meta tag.
From this tab, you can enable social share buttons for blog posts.
Enabled - Enable social share buttons for blog posts from here.
Social Networks - Select social networks that will be displayed on the blog post page.
From this tab, you can apply settings for the category in the top menu.
Display Blog Link - Select Yes to display blog link on the top navigation.
Link text - Set the text for the blog link on the top navigation.
Include Blog Categories - Select Yes to include blog categories on the top menu.
Maximal Depth - Set the number of subcategories to be displayed in the top menu.
From this tab, you can apply settings for custom CSS.
Include Blog CSS On All Pages - Select Yes to add custom CSS on all blog pages.
Custom CSS - Add your custom CSS here.
Include Bootstrap v4.4.1 Custom Mini - Select Yes to include Bootstrap v4.4.1 custom mini.
