# Google WebP Support

WebP is compatible with Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, the Opera browser, and many other tools and software libraries. Mainly, the WebP contains a lightweight encoding and decoding library that is known as libwebp. There are specific command line tools namely cwebp and dwebp for converting images to and from the WebP format.
